Mental health affects us all – yet it is often overlooked in our performance-driven society. According to the German Association for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (DGPPN), over 27.8% of people in Germany are affected by a mental illness each year. This corresponds to almost 18 million people – with depression and anxiety disorders being the most common diagnoses.
At tre_alpacas, we want to help ensure that mental health is not a taboo, but a natural part of our society.
Our own experience: Living with mental illness
We know from our own experience how difficult everyday life can feel with depression, borderline personality disorder, or anxiety disorders. There are days when even the simplest tasks become major hurdles. And often one feels misunderstood or left alone with one's own reality. That's why it's important for us to make a statement:
It's okay if you have a bad day. It's okay to take breaks. It's okay to say no. And it's okay not to always have to be strong.

To raise this awareness, we have created this heartwarming alpaca meme that conveys exactly this message: "It's okay if you have a bad day." Our fluffy friends remind us that it's okay not to be perfect and to put ourselves first. The meme is not only a reminder to show ourselves more compassion, but also a positive call to further normalize the topic of mental health.
Making a difference together: Doing good with every purchase
You can buy this lovely motif, inspired by our alpaca herd, from us, printed on T-shirts, hoodies or postcards. With your purchase, you actively support the Mental Health movement, because 20% of the proceeds are donated to mental health initiatives. In this way, we collectively make a statement for more mindfulness in dealing with our own psyche and that of others.
As someone who personally struggles daily with the challenges of depression and borderline, we know how important it is to allow ourselves breaks and to respect our own limits. Our fluffy alpacas are not just beloved animals to us, but also ambassadors for mental health. They remind us that it's okay to make mistakes, to accept help, and to love ourselves – exactly as we are.
Why make a positive statement?
A lovingly designed shirt with an inspiring message can achieve more than you might think. It's a gentle reminder in everyday life – not only for oneself, but also for the people around you. It shows: "Hey, mental health is important and it's okay to take care of yourself." Our Mental Health Collection aims to spread exactly this message to the world.
Join us in making a fluffy statement for mental health and be part of the movement! Get your Mental Health Alpaca shirt now and spread the message to the world – you are unique and valuable, just the way you are!
