Sometimes words are simply not enough. There are moments when a video shows the complexity of feelings and inner struggles better than words ever could. That's why I would like to encourage you to watch the following 2-minute video:
We live in a world full of visible suffering – physical illness , pain and distress that are often right in front of us.
The Invisible Struggles: Why Mental Illnesses Often Remain Hidden
But many struggles remain hidden, especially when it comes to mental illness . The inner struggles of mental illness can be just as serious as any physical illness, but they often go unrecognized. Why? Because many people manage to hide their inner struggles in their daily interactions with others. They are afraid to open up for fear of not being understood (and because they don't understand themselves), or because they don't want to be a burden to others. Who wants to worry their friends and family?
Why it's so hard to talk about mental health
But that's the wrong way to go. It's important to be able to talk openly about it when you're not feeling well and to get help. It's perfectly fine . It's normal . And you're not alone in this world.
If you are currently going through a phase where you are feeling worse inside than you appear to be on the outside, I want to tell you: You are not alone. It is not just us and our alpacas who are supporting you!
