Our little alpaca family experienced a wonderful surprise: our mare Greta was pregnant and gifted us with an adorable baby alpaca. Little Luna was born yesterday and we are overjoyed. Did you know that alpacas are usually pregnant for 11 months and that you don't necessarily notice that they are pregnant, especially because of their thick fur? This explains our surprise at Luna's arrival.
